Hello again…

beverage-blackboard-cafe-1385627It has been a very long time since I posted here and so much has changed! In the past two years I quit working (the kind that pays, anyway), started a ministry, bought a house, and had a baby.

These days I am focusing on my family as I seek God’s will and His direction for what’s next. Acts95 Ministries, the ministry I started last year, is fledgling. Mostly it’s a cry in the wilderness, but I’m trusting God to see it through in His perfect timing. In the meantime, I have a new blog! In addition to daily devotionals, I’m also recording and posting podcasts. You can check it out at acts95ministries.wordpress.com. If you feel led, please follow me over there, as I will no longer be posting here. The new blog is a bit more devotional-minded and less personal, but I will be posting personal updates and messages from time to time.

The blog posts and podcasts of Acts95 point to our mission statement, which is to “Lead Christ seekers and followers to know the true nature of God and His purposes for their lives through practical biblical teachings and community outreach.” This mission is modeled after Acts 9:5, where Paul asked “Who are you, Lord?” after being confronted by Jesus on the Road to Damascus. Our prayer is that all who claim Jesus Christ as their own would come to God and ask “Who are you, Lord?” and that by coming to know the true nature and heart of God, they would find healing from past hurts, know God’s purposes for their lives, and be transformed into powerful messengers of the Gospel.

In a lot of ways, the On the Road to Damascus blog was the beginning of that ministry. The obstacles, setbacks, failures and victories, and all the musings I’ve posted here have paved the way for Acts95. I am sad to see this blog go, but these ramblings were my beginnings. Acts95 is what’s next. Thank you for being with me on this journey, and I hope you will follow me as I continue searching and seeking Him.

Until we meet again…
